Eco Buildings exhibits its innovative modular housing technology at the Energy, Construction and Green Economy Fair in Tirane
Eco Buildings Group plc, a UK-listed modular construction company, is pleased to announce that it is exhibiting its proven, high-quality modular housing technology at the Energy, Construction and Green Economy Fair taking place this week at the Palace of Congresses in Tirane, Albania.
The Palace of Congresses is one of Albania’s most prestigious exhibition venues. The EU-funded event attracts more than 10,000 visitors over two days and serves as one of the most important gatherings for industry leaders, developers, investors, and policymakers across the Balkan region.
Eco Buildings’ exhibition allows visitors to experience first-hand its advanced Glass Fibre Reinforced Gypsum (GFRG) modular building system, with demonstration videos and physical examples of the technology available for inspection. The showcase acts as a national demonstration hub, enabling government approval bodies and major developers to evaluate Eco’s rapid, sustainable construction technology, which combines speed, cost-efficiency, and environmental performance at scale.
The event also supports Eco Buildings’ continued regional expansion as demand for high-performance, low-carbon housing solutions grows across Albania and neighboring markets
First Showcase house for Chile erected on site and completed
Eco Buildings Group plc (AIM: ECOB), the UK-listed modular housing company, is pleased to announce that it has delivered and constructed it’s first show house in Valpairaso, Chile. A further two show houses are currently being constructed in the Melipilla district. The construction of these houses is the last step in the due diligence process being undertaken by the Chilean government ahead of confirmation of its commitment to enter into a long-term manufacturing and supply contract for modular housing, as part of its broader social housing programme.
These detached two story dwelling units are spread over 60 sqm and come complete with sanitary ware, bathrooms, internal doors and fittings, making them fit for habitation immediately. Eco’s unique manufacturing ability provides for speed of delivery, which is 5 times faster than conventional building methodology and at less than half the cost.
Eco is in advanced negotiations to secure a large volume contract to provide modular housing, under this social housing programme and will provide a further update.
As previously announced on 18 April 2024 the manufactured building material (glass fibre reinforced gypsum wall – GFRG) has already been fully tested and confirmed as meeting national building regulations in Chile and other South American markets. The final stage in this certification is the inspection of a completed unit, which encompasses acoustic and insulation validation, which has now been achieved.
Group Receives Official Certification for Latin American Markets
Eco Buildings Group Limited (AIM: ECOB) is pleased to announce that the government-approved testing department at the Catholic University of Chile in Santiago, has informed the Company that its wall panels, have successfully passed the government's rigorous testing program for use in its construction market.
This noteworthy development is the result of months of meticulous testing that began back in July 2023 where the Group's building materials were subjected to the most extensive evaluations for strength, durability, fire-resistance, sound insulation and structural integrity. The results from the Catholic University testing center surpassed their stringent standards on all test variables, demonstrating the reliability and adaptability required to meet the exacting building regulation standards governing the construction industry in the region.
As a result of this performance success in Chile, it is the Company's understanding that its walls will also be deemed compliant across a substantial number of Latin American markets, allowing for significant future growth prospects in Chile and across the wider region.
